How do I extend my project's bidding period?

Once your project is posted, you can extend the bidding period. You can only extend the bidding once if the project has not been awarded. To do this, modify your original post reflecting your deadline.

How do I cancel my project and end bidding?

Once your project is posted, you can cancel your project if it has not been awarded yet. To do this, modify the subject line of your post stating "Bounty Cancelled".

How do I communicate with bidders?

Posters and Bidders may communicate with each other through the Private Message on board or email. To maintain the proof of communication you are encouraged to ‘CC’ all your communication regarding the project to bounty[at]kluid[dot]com.

How do I choose a winning bid?

What happens if I pick a bidder for my project, but then need to cancel the project?

If you cancel your project, make sure to pay the bidder for any partially completed work and give him sufficient notice in advance so that he/she can adjust his work schedule. If you fail to do so, kluid will allow the bidder to leave negative feedback in your profile. This may affect your future postings.

Leave Feedback?

After completing the project, it is important for both parties involved to rate your experience with each other by clicking Leave. Feedback ratings help qualified users build strong reputations on Kluid.

How should I describe my Project?

  • Name your project. Remember make the project name as descriptive as possible. Your project name should give bidders a good indication of the service you need, without being too lengthy.
  • Important Step: Describe your project in detail. Be as specific as you can when describing the service you need. Use examples where appropriate and provide a detailed description of the work you need done.
  • Define the end product or deliverables, i.e.: final codes, a finished exe, or a 10-page manual.
  • Define ownership. Will you own the final product? Consider current standard ownership rights for source code, mock-ups, etc.
  • Include Files : Upload relevant files for the project, including text, images, data, or audio files -- anything that might help a bidder better understand your needs.

How can I avoid disputes?

Recognizing that disputes may arise due to miscommunication and can often be resolved between the parties, kluid recommends the following steps to avoid disputes:

  • Maintain open lines of communication. Be clear about your expectations and check in frequently with the other party. Do not leave anything to assumptions.
  • Discuss project expectations, payment terms and work schedule before the project begins or payment is made. Make sure to explicitly state all assumptions for project requirements, such as delivery schedule, revisions, support and payment schedule. Utilize the Business Terms and Change Order feature to add all milestones and payment schedules. If you like you can ask for agreement in a written document.
